E-Letter from Commitee Chairman

A warm Metro Cruise® welcome to you.

I'm Brian Silvernail, Chairman of the First Classic Auto Auction hosted by the Wyoming / Kentwood Chamber of Commerce and Klingman's of Michigan. The event is being hosted on the grounds of the new Klingman's location.

The Klingman's relocation represents an investment of multiple millions in new inventory, the building and renovations. Klingman's owner, Robert Israels has proclaimed " We are going to be the Cabela's of the Furniture Industry". This new showroom will be considered the Second Largest in the Nation!

I'm posting this entry to our BLOG from the floor of one of the Auction Arenas in the Kruse International Auction Park in Auburn Indiana. This Auction Park is home to the Largest Classic Auto Auction in the world.

The Chamber Staff believes the MetroCruise Classic Auto Auction will create an auction venue that provides the seller with the best chance of maximizing the Sales Price of their Classic Automobile.

This should then result in a wide selection of vehicles, particularly over time as MetroCruise becomes a constant staple of West Michigan's Summer Entertainment Schedule. At the same time we hope to create a financial "vehicle" to help fund the annual Metro Cruise® event in perpituity.

In last year's 36th annual event held over the Labor Day weekend the Kruse Classic Auto Auction in Auburn Indiana attracted 175,000 visitors and auctioned over 5,000 classic cars. Without a Classic Auto Auction event, the 3rd annual Metro Cruise® held in 2007 drew well over 200,000 people and well in excess of 10,000 Classic Vehicles and Hot Rods.
